Spring Postal Food Drive!

Lucy_Reader_Board

This upcoming Saturday, May 14th is the annual spring Postal Food Drive. Not only is this the largest one-day food drive in the nation, but we also rely on this drive to fill our pantry shelves during what is commonly a lean time for food pantries.

We so appreciate the hard work and dedication of our local mail carriers as they collect all the cans, boxes, and bags of food. All the food donated in our Junction City area comes right here to JCLA!

We are so fortunate to have a great group of fun-loving volunteers from Christ’s Center church, led by youth pastor Jeff Starr, who come and help us sort all the food donations. With their diligent and energetic efforts, we’re able to get the food sorted and on the shelves in a matter of hours. The efficiency is astounding!

Whether put out in a bag for the postal carrier, or left in the bright blue barrel at the Junction City post office, your donations of nonperishable food will help fight hunger right here in our community!
